I have enjoyed helping my clients understand the value of creating places that work. Now I will be helping to create those places more directly.

I am pleased to announce that in March 2012, I will be joining W.J. Vakos & Company, a real estate development company based in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, as head of their development and construction division.

In the sometimes rough-and-tumble world of land development and construction, it can be hard to find companies worthy of learning from and emulating. W.J. Vakos & Company is one such company, founded on principles of integrity, trust, doing things right while doing the right thing. I look forward to helping them succeed in these times where great developments and communities are so much needed.

While Placemaking PLLC will no longer be an active consultancy, the principles that launched it will be a part of our philosophy at W.J. Vakos & Company. It has been a pleasure serving many of you in the past, and I look forward to working with many of you in the days and years ahead.
